LearnAddic Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how LearnAddic for iOS and macOS handles your data. It reflects the current implementation described in the app specification.

Summary

  • LearnAddic is local-first. Your data stays on your device.
  • No tracking, no third-party analytics SDKs, no ads.
  • No cloud sync or purchase processing at this time.

Data We Handle (On-Device Only)

Stored and processed locally within the app sandbox:

  • Your study content: Themes, Topics, Cards (Q&A text)
  • Optional images you attach to cards (stored under Documents/CardImages)
  • Study activity and progress: sessions (start/end, cards studied/understood), derived metrics (streak, total cards, average session time, weekly progress, goal progress)
  • App settings: language preference, local profile nickname

Notes:

  • Themes/Topics/Cards are kept in memory for the current run.
  • Study sessions and some settings persist via UserDefaults.
  • Card images are saved as JPEG files in the app's container.

What We Do Not Collect

  • No server accounts or sign-ins; no data transmission to servers by the app.
  • No location, contacts, calendars, health data, advertising identifiers.
  • No third-party analytics or crash reporting SDKs.

Network Activity

  • Cloud Sync UI is informational; it performs no network requests.
  • Subscription/plan screens are display-only; no purchases occur.

Data Sharing

We do not share your data with third parties.

Data Retention and Deletion

  • You can delete Themes/Topics/Cards in-app; this removes them from your study lists.
  • Attached card image files currently are not automatically deleted when items are removed. They remain in Documents/CardImages and are removed when the app is uninstalled. Future versions may add automatic cleanup.
  • Study sessions and settings in UserDefaults remain until you remove the app or reset data.

Security

  • Data stays within the iOS/macOS app sandbox and benefits from system protections.
  • No server-side storage is used by LearnAddic.

Children's Privacy

LearnAddic does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app has no online features or accounts.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves (e.g., if cloud sync is added). Updates will appear via the in-app About link and developer website.
