These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the LearnAddic application (the "App"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

LearnAddic is a cross‑platform study tool for iOS and macOS that lets you create and review Q&A flashcards organized by Themes and Topics. The App emphasizes a clean, offline‑first experience.

As implemented:

  • No account system or cloud sync is active. A Cloud UI may appear as a teaser, but it performs no network operations.
  • Purchases/subscriptions are not implemented. Subscription screens are informational only (no transactions).
  • Stats reflect only real user activity. No sample or placeholder data is injected by default.
  • Language options: System Default, Japanese, English. Changing language updates UI live.

2. User Content and Responsibility

  • You create, own, and are responsible for the content you enter (Themes, Topics, Cards, and optional images).
  • You agree not to upload or create content that is illegal, infringing, harmful, or violates others' rights.
  • You are responsible for backing up your content. The App does not provide cloud backup.

3. Data, Storage, and Privacy

  • App data for Themes/Topics/Cards is currently maintained in memory during a session; these items do not persist across app restarts in the current implementation. Study analytics are stored locally using UserDefaults with migration/guards.
  • Optional card images may be stored locally under the App's documents directory (e.g., Documents/CardImages). Automatic cleanup of those files upon item deletion is not yet implemented.
  • The App does not transmit your personal data to servers and does not include third‑party analytics. See the Privacy Policy for details.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or third‑party rights.
  • Attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, or disrupt the App's operation.
  • Use the App to distribute malware, abusive, or unlawful content.

5. Intellectual Property

  • The App and its code, design, and assets (excluding your content) are owned by the developer and are protected by applicable IP laws.
  • You retain ownership of your content. By using the App, you grant the developer no license to your content beyond what is necessary to operate the App locally on your device.

6. External Links

The App may show links to external sites (e.g., Developer Website, Privacy Policy, Terms). These are provided for convenience. The developer is not responsible for third‑party content or practices. Review their terms and policies before use.

7. No Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement. The developer does not guarantee learning outcomes or that the App will be uninterrupted or error‑free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from or related to your use of the App.

9. Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated. You may stop using the App at any time. The developer may terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

The developer may update these Terms as the App evolves. Changes will be posted via the in-app About link and developer website.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Japan.
