Ace the Test — AI-Powered Quiz Generation from Notes & PDFs
Ace the Test is a web application that uses AI to automatically generate multiple-choice and true/false quizzes from uploaded study notes and PDF documents. Students shift from passive reading to active problem-solving, track their understanding quantitatively, and identify weak areas for targeted review.
Problem
Students spend hours reading and re-reading notes, but passive review is one of the least effective study methods. Creating practice quizzes manually is time-consuming and rarely covers all the material. There's a gap between having study materials and actually testing yourself on them — which is where real learning happens.
What I Built
A web application that transforms passive study materials into active learning:
- AI Quiz Generation — Upload notes, PDFs, or text documents. The AI analyzes content and generates relevant multiple-choice and true/false questions automatically.
- Understanding Score — Track mastery quantitatively. See which topics you've mastered and which need more review.
- Weak Area Identification — The system identifies questions you frequently get wrong and surfaces them for targeted practice.
- Review Anywhere — Access quizzes from any device. Study on the go with a responsive web interface.
Tech Stack
My Role
Sole developer and product designer. Designed the product concept, built both frontend and backend, integrated the AI quiz generation pipeline, deployed on Google Cloud Run, and created the landing page. Responsible for all aspects from ideation to production deployment.
